A Merry Christmas
Dear Sir or Madam
A challenging year in many respects is coming to an end. With a great deal of effort and the necessary resilience of our business model, we achieved numerous milestones and were able to position ourselves even more stronger for the future. An important contribution to this was made by further focusing our first-class real estate portfolio. Many of our stakeholders were able to experience this first hand at the Capital Markets Day in Basel. In the development business, the year was dominated by highlights relating the projects Maaglive, JED Campus and BERN 131. We were also thinking intensely about questions such as how real estate companies can develop in the metaverse or how we can operate our business even more sustainably. This is precisely why we are proud of the awards we recently received in this area.

As the largest listed real estate company in Switzerland, the promotion of our youth is close to our hearts. That is why we have been sponsoring YES Young Enterprise Switzerland for several years now and, with our Christmas donation this year, we are supporting the Check your Chance organization, which offers unemployed young people a perspective.

We would like to thank you for the great work together, hope you have an exciting read and we wish you happy holidays!

This is where life science meets business
Basel is considered a site of large pharmaceutical, chemical, biotech and medtech companies. With the technology park and the construction of the additional four finger docks, Stücki Park is positioning itself as an important life science hub. Our Capital Markets Day this year focused on financing and life science and took place at the site.

A working, living and cultural oasis
The «Maaglive» project, consisting of building K, a new residential tower and a culture pavilion, will create a new neighborhood center with a variety of public uses on the Maag site until 2027. Living, culture, work and gastronomy will be interwoven into a lively mix.

To a good start
Swiss Prime Site stands for pioneering spirit and sustainability. This is particularly evident in the project pipeline. This year, the focus was on two milestones: On the one hand, the foundation stone was laid for the new building on the JED Campus in Schlieren, and on the other hand, construction begun on the BERN 131 project.

Living sustainability: Our real estate portfolio will be climate-neutral by 2040!
The real estate industry in the metaverse
Tech companies are investing billions to build the next generation of virtual worlds. In the course of this, real estate companies could specifically expand their current business models. But not everything that is possible seems promising.
